University Corporation's Risk Management mission is to minimize the risk of loss, financial, and/or otherwise through the protection of University Corporation resources which include funds, employees, students, visitors, and property, thus reducing/minimizing long term liabilities to the University Corporation and CSUMB, as a whole. Risk Management assists CSUMB Grants & Contracts and Principal Investigators with meeting their compliance-related responsibilities. The overall effectiveness of this mission greatly depends upon a culture of compliance, embraced by all levels of management at the University Corporation and CSUMB.

More specifically, the University Corporation's Risk Management provides assistance to University Corporation employees and programs in identification and examination of risks, selection of risk control and risk financing techniques, and evaluation of the risk control and financing results.
